(via Is New Dr Pepper Sexist?)
Just saw this ridiculous new campaign on TV. Definitely one of the most offensive ads I’ve seen in a really long time. When will the ad industry learn?
**EDIT: Me and others have already headed on over to Dr. Pepper’s Facebook page to post our disappointment and condemn the new promotional campaign for Dr. Pepper Ten. I encourage you all to do the same. Let Dr. Pepper know that alienating women is not okay. The link is here - go post for yourself.

Well, this isn’t the first time it’s happened. :l

this is just like that coke zero thing

Feminists need to learn to take a joke, seriously.I don’t understand how this is offensive at all?Seriously, do feminists want to live in a world where you can’t even joke about this kind of shit?Boo hoo, an ad said something isn’t for you, do you know why you never hear about men complaining that something is sexist?Because we aren’t little bitches.

This is like the 4th post I’ve seen in two days complaining about advertising being sexist.
Guys.
It’s advertising. They’re trying to reduce the calories without losing their male demographic, so they made a joke. It’s not really even offensive.
And I swear if I see one more post about how using sexism to sell a product is some terrible god awful idea sent from hell to destroy society’s concept of women, I’m just going to lose it. I understand where you’re coming from and that’s fine, but there’s no reason to take it overboard. Especially if you have no concept of advertising or how to sell a product.
</rant>

I don’t find it offensive as much as I find it hilarious. Most of the guys I know who fall for this kind of overly-virile advertising are the kinds of guys who are trying to compensate for lack of manliness… like the kind of guys who frequent sports bars and have women in bikinis with fake boobs on their desktop so they can run around shouting NO HOMO.
So, the joke is on them.

How’s this different than Diet Coke targeting women? People need to chill out.
