I was off today so I decided to do sone baking for Toni’s birthday party tomorrow. It’s purple themed and these were meant to be purple but I didn’t use enough food dye :( I made purple icing though so it’s not all bad. I love baking so I do!

It’s the second Saturday in a row that I’ve sat in but it’s okay because me and Toni attempted to make crisps. Despite what they look like, they were actually pretty good (so good that I ate most of them before I thought, ‘shit I wanted to take a picture’, haha)

CAN ANYONE SAY NOM NOM NOM?
These are some chocolate chip cupcakes with grated white chocolate on the top! I’m getting pretty good at this baking business, presentation isn’t my strong point but it’s all about the taste anyway, hehe. Since it’s a special occasion I used Lindt chocolate for the chocolate chips, just put some squares in a snadwich bag and smashed the life out them, haha.

Apartment, Belfast
It’s rare that we make it into town in time for breakfast at the weekend and hence have never got ourselves a favourite breakfast haunt in the city. Yes, the odd fry at Maggie Mays or The Other Place can do wonders for a weekday hangover - but could you ever call that a good breakfast? Yes, all the ingredients are there, but of such low quality it is really just the grease that is doing your hangover a favour.
And so with little planning we ducked into the Apartment to see if their fry was something worth getting out of bed for - and to our surprise, it was. The Apartment ‘big fry’ may not sound grand, but everything on the plate was of a quality several notches above the standard fare - lovely bacon and sausages, well cooked egg and while the seemingly deep fried potato bread raised an eyebrow… damn, it was good.
At £6.99, the fry is a little more than a bog standard version - but well worth it, and to be honest is enough to feed two people… but where’s the fun in that?
The only downer was the service - trying to get coffee refills was a tricky business and far too long was spent standing at the till before someone turned up to collect the cash.
Would we go back? Unless someone has any suggestions for alternatives, this is looking like a safe bet for our weekend breakfast - any thoughts?
This looks so damn good. And it’s not too far off Maggie May’s prices. If I remember about this when I’m next hungover I’ll totally give this a shot, heh.

Here my housemate made burger men earlier, they looked class, hah.
You don’t win friends with salad (unless it’s a FUCKING MEAT SALAD like this)

Day 3: Favourite Food
It’s a baked potato, can’t you tell? haha.
(I will upload better quality images soon!!)

This is one of my favourite parts of Christmas, getting a Terry’s Chocolate Orange :D

This is the best cupcake idea of all time.
