I’m in Liverpool at the moment so didn’t notice it happening.
Speaking of Liverpool, I absolutely love it here, I could genuinely see myself living here. Maybe it’s just the great steak I had. Either way, I’ve had an awesome few days!
Yeah I’ve been neglecting Tumblr recently for 3 main reasons:
- Working full time
- Lacking a decent Laptop
Mostly Reddit tbh, even though I see a good few reposts on Reddit from Tumblr, it’s mostly the other way around. And I don’t feel right doing the same and filling my blog with Reddit posts so I pretty much have only been posting Instagrams (as you may or may not notice). I think I’m also abit fed up with Tumblr, like I need to unfollow practically everyone and start again (apart from you lovely people that I know and actually talk to!). I don’t know, maybe I’ll come back to it when I have more interesting things to post, like my own artwork, but for the foreseeable future it looks like lazy blogging ahoy!
We went to the Menagerie and pretty much everyone was dressed like a witch/sugar skull so I looked like a slag turning up in essentially a swimsuit and a cape. As you can guess, noone knew who I was, I thought people would get Leela atleast with the wig and the eye but the closest someone got to guessing who I was asked if I was Wonder Woman :(
To round the night off nicely, I started to feel faint and sick so I was home and in bed for 1am. Gutted.
I don’t even think I have anymore decent pics of it but I’ll try and show you the rest of the costume!
A little preview of the thing that has been occupying most of my free time (and a glimpse at my oh so messy room).
You know when you lose something and just accept that it’s gone? Well I thought my planet express t shirt was gone for good but my mum found it in my dad’s wardrobe and I am so happy!! Can you tell? Hehe.
I don’t think I ever want to take this scarf off.
Glad y’all like it, hehe. It was a struggle to get it looking like that tbh, it was very yellow on Monday when I first did it. I had actually put an all over light pink dye in it but I think my poor hair was saturated so it only took it random bits of the hair but it ended up looking pretty cool and it also made the more orangey bits less noticable. Hair rant over.
So remember when I said I was going to do something that could possibly go wrong?
Well this was it, heh. I’ve gone blonde, yeoo! It’s also got alittle pink in there for good measure, I’ll post a better picture of it at some point soon.

Anyone else get this? I’m shattered right now because I had a terrible night’s sleep. I was worrying about not waking up at 6.15am, even though I’m not a particularly heavy sleeper and the only times I’ve ever slept in are due to me actually turning off my alarm. I would go for a wee afternoon nap but I don’t want to feel like a bum, wasting my day (because I’m clearly going to be mega productive otherwise *rolls eyes*)
I did my first proper bit of visual work today :D I came in to do a few (unpaid) hours of matching so I could get some practice before my interview on Tuesday. It went pretty well, things like colour flow and balancing patterns are processes I use in my artwork so that came easily but I need to work on things like commerciality and outfit selection, though that’s all stuff I’ll eventually learn if I get the job. There’s so many different things to remember and I started to overthink it and struggled alittle but I just need to chill out on the day and not be afraid to move things about if they’re not working. Hopefully going in next Monday to do a table so I’ve had a wee go at both that and a wall. I’m still nervous be feel more confident after today, atleast I’ve got something for my portfolio (who knew people used portfolios in the real world?!). Now I need to go look over lots of figures and reports, yeeoo!
Can’t move. Keith’s sleeping on my leg. It’s going dead but I don’t wana move him.
My cousin’s wee kid spent the afternoon licking windows and making scary zombie-like noises, he’s awesome!
